In Yoast SEO settings, we can select type:Organization or Person, which then populates the site. That’s fine.

But if we manually add LocalBusiness schema (with for example type:Corporation) then we now have two “type” attributes identified and Google Rich Results in picking up on Organization instead of Corporation.

Is there any way to address this conflict? Thanks!

    Hi there!

You can choose to disable the schema data generated by the Yoast plugin. You can do so by using the snipper here.

Rumejan, thank you – does this go in functions.php? Or does yoast_seo_json_remove.php get placed somewhere? I appreciate it!

That’s right. You’ll need to add the relevant code snippet to your currently active theme functions.php file to disable the schema markup outputted by Yoast SEO.
