    Hey there,

I recently downloaded YoastSEO for my website and got ready to use it. I activated the plugin and it became visible in my WordPress backend. However when I click onto it to do things such as first time SEO config or literally any other feature, the buttons to do these things aren’t there. The only thing it shows me is a big button telling me to upgrade to Yoast SEO Premium. I have watched tutorials on the free Yoast version and they have access to all those features so I know upgrading isn’t the solution I am looking for.

Did I download it wrong or is there something I am missing? The Dashboard, Features, Integrations and Webmaster tools tabs are all blank aside from the Premium prompt.

    Cheers,
    Riley

    Hi @rileydev

We’re sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Yoast SEO for WordPress plugin.

Could you confirm you are on the latest version of WordPress 5.6, and have installed the most recent version of Yoast SEO for WordPress v15.6.2? Please also do check if your site meets the necessary plugin requirements — https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/

If you are meeting all of the necessary requirements and everything is up-to-date, just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.
