YOP still downgrades after I upgraded by version of PHP to 5.4

I received the error that my version of PHP was out of date. I upgraded to 5.4 and it still did not work even after allowing a day for the upgrade to take effect. I then downgraded to 5.3 incase it would not work with 5.4 and that still does not work. Can you tell me if there is a work around? My site is allaboutparadiseisland.com
