Hi – Bought the pro upgrade this morning and when I try to use the shortcode [file_manager] I get this error: ‘You are not allowed to access file manager’.

Checked permissions on the file-manager folder and it is set at 755.

Am logged in as admin also. Checked & have all permissions checked for administrator as a role and user…

Help would be appreciated, thanks – Dave

  • Hi,

I am having the exact same issue.

I can access it in the backend, but the [file_manager] shortcode on any page displays: You are not allowed to access file manager.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
Please go to the settings page and save.
    That should solve the problem.

    Thanks

For me the issue was not understanding the settings under permission system. I clicked every permission box for administrator after I installed the plugin but didn’t realize that the last box is ‘BAN’ which makes the administrator banned.
Plugin works great after unclicking ban!

Thank you so much davemfrank. That worked for me too.
