• I have installed this plugin with default theme.

I was in the middle of trying to configure the simple calendar to my google calendar. I did not notice any “simple calendar” menu link on the left side of the menu. So, after digging around I went to the plugins page. I saw

    Simple Calendar
    Settings | Calendars | Deactivate | Edit

So, I ah ha! Clicked on Settings, entered API key. But, nothing more I can set to suit my needs. I clicked on Calendars and I get “You are not allowed to edit posts in this post type.”

What have I done wrong? Is it weird that I do not see anything on the left side on my Dashboard or admin home page?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
