“You are posting comments too quickly. Slow down”

    Every time we try to reply to a comment we get this message:
    “You are posting comments too quickly. Slow down”

    It happened in the past after some updates and then disappeared. Now it’s back again. Any solution?

    This is the core WordPress comment flood prevention; it’s not a part of Akismet. It means that comment flood protection is enabled and you are commenting more frequently than the default minimum time between comments.

    If it’s happening even when you’re not posting frequently, then the site is likely doing something unusual with commenting, like attributing all comments to a single user account/email address, or setting a very long minimum time between comments.
