    A new WP 6.1 installation. Nothing else. iThemes Security is the first plugin. However, when clicking to “Secure Site”, I got errors:
    – You are probably offline
    – Could not save user groups: You are probably offline.

    Each error appears twice.
    The site is running with PHP 8. Tested with 7.4, the same error. All settings are default.

    Any idea

    Hi @hungpham,

    Your issue looks identical to this topic.

    +++++ To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes +++++

    Hi.

    No it’s not the reason. On the same server, I have other WP sites secured with the plugin, no problem.

    Besides, only iThemes Security gave out the warnings. I can save, edit posts, pages, WP Settings, no problem.

    @hungpham,

    Ok, I see. What browser are you using? Are there any errors in the browser console?

    The iTSec plugin relies heavily on the REST API. The plugin also adds lots of custom REST API routes/endpoints.

    Try and run the Allowed HTTP Methods scan on the failing site and a working site. Then compare the scan results.

    Another thing you can try is reset permalinks on the failing site.

    Hi @hungpham, could you please let us know if you still need assistance? As nlpro mentioned, iThemes Security requires access to the REST API to function, so please try contacting your hosting provider and have them allow ALL REST HTTP methods (mentioned here). I hope this helps!
