• Hi,

I’ve just switched my hosting package over from 123-reg to Zen.

Since the switch, I’ve not been able to log in to my admin page for the site

    https://www.gilljonesphotography.co.uk

I receive the message “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”

    Could anybody help?

    I really appreciate your time.

    Thanks.

  • It could be a server setting / script / something since you have just changed the hosting provider.

Why not check with them and see if it’s not an issue for them to solve?

My best guess is that this is a plugin-related problem, so try to deactivate all the plugins (by renaming them in the wp-content/plugins/ directory).

Another thing it could be is a bad WP update (interrupted) or a bad plugin update.

I doubt is a hosting permission thing, but as I said, since you’ve recently changed hosts, you should definitely check with them.

    Hey there Gholem,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately after renaming the plug-ins ( i just added -old to the end of the folder name), emptying cache and then submitting log in details again, I still get the same message.

I’ve asked my new hosts to look into the problem, which they had been doing already, but if any one else has any specific suggestions for them, I’d really appreciate it.

    Many thanks again,

    Emma

On most of the cases, this happens after an update of the WP or plugins apparently.
I’ve found this post about this issue, but be aware it’s old and things could be different with WP now.

Have a look at other discussions (and here) and see if you can find anything that might give you a hint of what’s going on.

Ok, found this other topic on WP forums which seems to have been resolved. I believe your hosting company can make use of it and decide what needs to be done.

    Hope this helps.
