You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

Hi:

So today I was trying to update my website with a new theme and plug-ins and such, and I think some plug-in went horribly awry as now I simply cannot log into WP as an admin.

It started off by blocking me from certain pages, like the plug-in page and “Pages”, and so I figured I would log out to see if that would help, but upon trying to log back in, I got the same error message

“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

which blocked me accessing the website altogether.

Other threads specify that I need to go into the coding but I can’t even log into the dashboard. I’ve tried clearing all my cookies, different browsers, and a different computer, and nothing can access the site.

Any suggestions??
