    Dear wordpress families

    I really need your help about my blog (https://www.ecadforum.com/News)when I try to access the dashboard to update my blog this message appears instead of the dashboard “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” I did contacted my host which is the yahoo… they said I may did something to the tables… what I did was when people told me they couldn’t open the blog posts I log in to phpmyadmin page and optimized, repair the tables that’s the only thing I do on the phpmyadmin page since I have no knowledge to do other staff.

    After I try to log in to the dashboard and I am dined access I saw on the main blog page that I am logged in. I don’t know what’s going on I hop I will get help in here. Thank you in advance.

    My main website is https://www.ecadforum.com

    It sounds like your account may have lost admin privileges for some reason.

    Access your database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel), go to the wp_users table and find the row for your user_login . Note the ID of this row. Now, go to the wp_usermeta table and find the wp_capabilities row for your user_id . Set the value of this row to a:1:{s:13:"administrator";b:1;}

    Dear James (MacManx),

    Thank you for your fast respond but I went to the phpmyadmin page and I look around … I am afraid to deal with it I really don’t want to loose this blog… is there a way someone to do it for me with affordable price?

    It’s worth a try. Backup your database before making the change, just in case.
