I have this problem as well, trying to edit “read”options.

It’s quite likely to be a problem with one of your installed plugins. You may need to deactivate them all, and try reactivating one at a time to see if you can isolate which one is giving you problems. But if you’ve recently upgraded one, I would try deactivating that one first.
