Thanks for getting in touch, hopefully we can help determine the cause. Firstly can you share the following information:

    1. At what stage does this occur during the setup stage? ie. After clicking on the “Allow” option on the sign in page
    2. Are you using a standard WordPress administrator account to setup the plugin, without any modification?
    3. Have you or any other administrators use Site Kit previously, on this specific site or on a staging site which you may have migrated from?

    1. I choose my account, press allow and it shows You don’t have permissions to authenticate with Site Kit.
    2. I’m administrator.
    3. Not sure… Becouse we recently updated the theme and plugins.

what kind of information you need more? ??

Thanks for providing the additional information. If you can share your Site Health information that would be great. I can then check your site setup to see if I can determine any possible cause. You can share privately using this form if preferred.

In addition to your Site Health information it might be useful to know whether whether you can access this Search Console property via this link from a browser incognito window. You’ll need to sign in with the same account you’ve used to setup Site Kit.

Many thanks for sharing. I’ve checked the details provided and I noticed a deactivated migration plugin. Did you have Site Kit installed previously on a staging site which you then migrated?

No google kit wasn’t activated. we updated old website, it had some analitics, so we deleted old code. Updated theme, istled google kit and tryed to activate it.

Thanks for providing an update. To ensure there are no WordPress administrator role issues can you create or use a separate WordPress administrator account, before then logging in and using that account to setup Site Kit? If the same issue occurs we can attempt some possible plugin conflict troubleshooting.

Hi Guys I tryed to creat another administrator account, and login. It shows me the same “You don’t have permissions to authenticate with Site Kit.” And i Tryed to diactivate all plugins except google kit. Same….

And its possible that i trayed to do it: “Did you have Site Kit installed previously on a staging site which you then migrated?” Any Ideas what to do ? :/

Thanks for the update and your troubleshooting efforts so far. In that case I can request a reset of your site URL on the Site Kit service, which will hopefully allow you to proceed. Note that this is similar to a plugin reset and will result in all Google connected services being disconnected, for all users. If you’d like me to request a reset let me know.

Yesh sure! Lets try to do it!

I’ve requested a reset of your site on the Site Kit service now. In some cases this can be proceed quite fast, I’ll hopefully have an update for you tomorrow, if not it would be early next week.

Out of curiously do you recall if you may have attempted Site Kit setup on this site previously, such as on a staging site or before it was at it’s current domain?

Just to let you know that we’ve checked your site on the Site Kit setup service and it looks like your site was added without with www prefix. (which seems evident now in your WordPress general settings from checking your rest endpoints). Do you recall adding the www prefix?

In order to proceed with Site Kit setup please attempt the below:

    1. Temporarily switch your “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” from https://www.miecys.lt to https://miecys.lt in your WordPress General Settings configuration.
    2. Open a browser incognito window
    3. Attempt setup once more

Please let me know if that works for you.
