I updated MailPoet 3 from version 3.52.0 to 3.53.0 and now I get an error message on all MailPoet admin pages:

“You have an older version of the Premium plugin. The features have been disabled in order not to break MailPoet. Please update it in the Plugins page now.”

However, if I go to the Plugins page, as directed, I see that MailPoet Premium is at 3.52.0 but there is no newer version available.

    Please help!

    Hello Jacob,

Thank you, I will keep it in mind!

I think the MailPoet team should definitely change the error message.

In this case, an upgrade for MailPoet Premium appeared on the Plugins page a day later and I updated it as well. But it would have been much more convenient if the error message had directed me to this solution. The text “Please update it in the Plugins page now” is not useful; I expect that everybody will update MailPoet and Mailpoet Premium at the same time if the Plugins page shows that an update is available for both.

    So, something like:
    – old text: “Please update it in the Plugins page now.”
    – new text: “See this knowledge base article for a solution.”

    Thanks again and best regards,
    Henk
