  • I think I have the same problem as this guy. But let me explain a little more.
    The problem:
Sometimes when I want to log in to the website, I get the message 404 error – the page you’re looking for doesn’t exist. Well, I know for a fact that the page I need to be redirected to does exist. So the problem is not a non existing page.

The fact is that this plugin, after some time, disables all access to the website. A login widget does not work and putting in the URL itself in the browser, redirects to the wp-login.php page.
So the plugin stops working and blocks all login attempts.

What I think causes the problem:
Updates!!! Whenever I have this problem, there are updates for several plugins. Mostly the rename wp-login.php plugin must be updated as well.

    Workaround:
For now the only workaround I found is to access the website through FTP and rename the plugin folder. After that the login should work in it’s default settings.
The folder can be found at: wp-content/plugins/rename-wp-login
Just put something behind the “login” part.

I stop using this plugin for now because this issue is bothering my subscribers as well. Until this issue is fixed I will use another plugin (if there is any) or just use the default login page.
