    Hi
Can anyone explain why I’m getting the red error You must provide your email when completing a UM registration form, even though the properties for the email field show No for Is this field required?

    Thanks
PS – or shall I just change the hover text on the form to say that it’s required?!

    Hi @petebm,

Ultimate member requires “Email” or “Username or email filed” on the registration form, if you don’t have email field, please try adding “Username or email” filed to your registration form.

Hi – thanks very much for that.

I had got both username or email (displayed as just username) and email fields on the register form, but having the username/email one there doesn’t seem enough to stop the email being required. Is that right? I think I’ll just remove the email field, as that can be populated from another system.

    Cheers

Hi again – if that is the case (ie that having a username or email field is not enough to make the email one not required), is there any way to show that a field is required (eg red asterisk etc) on a registration form? Apologies if I’ve missed something, but I couldn’t see a setting for that on the form design.

    Thanks
