    since installing this theme, my posts are now not only truncated on the main page (which I like) but most of them are preceded with the following sentence:

    Your ads will be inserted here byGoogle AdSense.Please go to the plugin admin page to set up your ad code.

    Why does it say this? What plugin is it referring to?

    That would be a plugin you have installed on your site. Theme does not include those texts nor does it include options for ads.
