I updated your plugin tonight and it broke my site.

    Getting this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘::’ (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /home2/thebroad/public_html/patricewilliamsmarks/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/libs/class.CategoryHandler.php on line 299

Have to disable so I can bring my site back up.

Are you working on a fix?

    WP 4.9.15

    Hi,
Looks like your server is running on an insecure outdated PHP version, please update the PHP version to 7.x as per WordPress recommendation ( https://www.ads-software.com/about/requirements/ ), the issue will be resolved automatically.
    Best regards.

Upgraded, now the blue download button is gone – and in its place, just the text to download. You click on that and nothing happens; the page just jumps.

    What next?

The site is also running slower now.

I am going back to my old php version because upgrading causes my site to slow down and your plugin to have too many bugs. Can you tell me where to download the last version before this current update so I can go back to that?

Hi, I deactivate all plugins from php and the site come back. After that reactivate alls plugins, except the download manager.
The site is running well, and I will try to run the wp rollback to rollback the download manager to an old version.

I just did it in my test site and it worked fine, I will backup all the site and try the wp rollback at the main website.

This remember me to test all updates in my test website before do it on the main website.

The developers did know about this issue? There is a way to fix it?

    thanks

About the download button issue, visit Downloads > Settings > User Interface Tab and save settings. That should bring back the button.

You can download v.3.0.4 from here

    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/download-manager.3.0.4.zip

We only keep version backup just before major changes added on the latest release.

Thank you. How do I replace the version?
Uninstall newest version and install this? If I do that, will all my pages, files still be there?

    Thanks.

I already deactivate the plug in, my files are ok for now

    Sorry for the late response.

I used the plugin WP Rollback, it can rollback the versions of the plugins installed in you site.

    Good look

Shucks. Tried Rollback but got this message: “It appears there are no version to select. This is likely due to the plugin author not using tags for their versions and only committing new releases to the repository trunk.”

I tried in my worpdpress to rollback the download manager and it works fine. Looks like your problem is more deep than mine.

Maybe you can try to download old version from the download manager site and try to reinstall, but I don’t know what will happen with your content linked to plugin.

Sorry, I’m new with wordpress and still learning.

    Good look!
