• Good evening,

In the Woocommerce Analytics dashboard, I am attempting to download my orders for the past month. Normally, I can download a smaller range in CSV format. But when clicking the download button after I’ve selected orders for the past month, I simply get the message “your orders report will be emailed to you”.

However, neither of my accounts linked to the website have received such an email – so I wondered if you could inform me why this might be the case? I am using the free version of the plugin – is it that I need to purchase an additional plugin for this functionality to work? Or have I simply missed a setting where you can assign which email receives this information?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  • @k730hs I was experiencing the same problem until I updated Woocommerce Database. Then reports started to appear in my inbox. Whenever you get a message to update your Woocommerce Database, do that immediately. Keep on doing it until you get an Updated message. Then try downloading the reports. That worked for me.

    Hi @stuartduff and Support Team,

The generated report doesn’t follow the filter (for example: category). I selected a single category but everything shown in the report. (no issues in the page but only in the generated report)

Thank you in advance for you action.

I don’t think emailing the reports to the admin is the desired action for a lot of webshops. I manage a lot of shops for which I am the admin & developer but not the shop manager. Could you offer a choice when downloading reports to either email or download the report file, even with larger files?

Why in the world has WooCommerce chosen this method for downloading a report??? Just download the report for crimes sake. This is a ridiculous solution… the site admin is NOT the person who is needs to run and receive the report.

I swear it’s like the woo developers have never run a Ecommerce site with some of these decisions they make. Woo has one huge hole and that is analytics and reporting. Without the ability to create custom or ad hoc reports this will never truly meet the needs of running a business. Example ability to run a report showing sales by shipping state showing user role, tax, shipping, order total or whatever combination of fields are needed.

Just checked the uploads folder and the csv was there, still haven’t received an email… and out of 412 orders the csv contains 50 of those orders.

    This is useless….

I am having this issue as well, only in regards to the Customers list. When I go to WooCommerce > Customers and click on the “Download” button with the cloud, it says the report will be emailed. That email never comes. When I go to /wp-content/uploads/ the csv file only has 50 users (rather than the full 103).

I only need the list of Customers because we are trying to see the discrepancy between the list of WordPress Users with a user role of “Customer” and the WooCommerce Customers list. THAT is an issue for another thread.

I haven’t seen any movement on this issue and it really needs to be addressed before they deprecate the legacy reports, which I just saw a note in the latest changelog that they are. These reports are useless if we cannot export them.

We have the same issue. We would like the reports emailed to the shop manager user’s email address. No emails are generated. No errors what we can see. The reports are available in /uploads folder, but they are not emailed to anyone…

@nishandesilva thanks for the suggestion. I still believe though that emailing the report is not the only desired choice in a lot of cases, a possibility to download the report through the browser would be nice.

This is still an issue. No email is being generated by the Download report button. My database says it is up to date, and I always update it when prompted. This is an ongoing issue that needs to be fixed.

I have the same problem. For the moment I download the file from the Upload directory, but it’s an insane solution.

I have this issue also. The report doesn’t send the email, even though the log shows it’s completed. It shows up in the Uploads folder which I only found out by looking at this thread.

    Please, fix this issue.

    Hi @mkbarraco,

Please create your own thread for your issue.

We want to make sure that every user’s issue receives its own thread with proper attention.

I would also advise checking the forum guidelines and FAQ.

    Thanks.
