• Hi (Please help)
I have inherited my wife’s website which was setup in www.ads-software.com and I have major problems:

    1. The username and password will not let us login and the password reset email is linked to an account she no longer has

    2. Her website is getting this error whenever you try and access it:
Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.

What can I do to get access to the system please? What can I do to fix the php installation. Her web designer is no longer locateable.

Note: This php installation issue just started without any changes being made to anything for ages because here designer is no longer available.

    Please help!

    Thank you

    David

    1. Try this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/resetting-your-password/#through-phpmyadmin

That will walk you through changing the password directly in the database. For this, you’ll find phpMyAdmin in your hosting account’s control panel.

    2. You’ll need to contact your hosting provider’s support about this.

    Hi James

Great to hear from you and so quickly !

    1. I will download phpmyadmin as you suggested (hopefully its easy to install) but what do I login to so that it shows me what databases I have available?

    2. WHen you say hosting provider do you mean GoDaddy who I host with? If so, they told me to contact yourself.

    Cheers

    Hi again James

I went into my GoDaddy account (my hosting service) and found the phpMyAdmin section and found the WordPress database for my wife’s site and I changed the password and email successfully.

HOWEVER, I can still not log in to www.ads-software.com to get to my wife’s website code. Thinking about it though, surely I would need to change the WordPress password in order to login to WordPress. How does changing the GoDaddy password and email address actually propagate to www.ads-software.com so I can then login?

    Please help James.

    Thanks

    David

WordPress sites are entirely separate from www.ads-software.com. The only things we do here are develop, distribute, and support the software.

You’ll log into the site at https://belindalandsberry.com/wp-login.php which requires getting item 2 from earlier fixed first by contacting your hosting provider’s support: https://www.godaddy.com/help
