Your Plugin and Yoast

  • Hi, Is your plugin designed to work with Yaost SEO? I have both installed. I noticed your plugin doesn’t warn or disable Yoast’s basic organizational Schema, which if not turned off will interfere with Google looking at the schema.

    I went into yoast and cleared the Name of business and logo out of yoast, and it appears to have dropped their auto organization schema entry from the structured data tool.

    Your thoughts / advice? Was this wise to do or leave both?

    You bring up a good point in that other plugins, not just ours and Yoast, sometimes automatically add schema markup.

    While there is some overlap with our plugin and Yoast at the organization level, we don’t automatically add any schema to your website. So it’s on the user decide what tool to add markup.

    It’s up to you to use Yoast our our plugin for the org schema. In general most people use our plugin to set local business business schema, but if you just want general org schema then Yoast would be fine for that.
