I doubt it is a bug in our plugin. I tested your scenario but couldn’t reproduce the issue. What I recommend you do is:

    1. Update Elementor, WordPress and LCP to latest versions
    2. Deactivate all plugins but LCP and Elementor
    3. Switch to a default Twentyseventeen theme
    4. Check if the issue still exists

I confirmed it. Look at the video. I informed Elementor

    To be clear:

    • You deactivated all other plugins so that only Elementor and List Category Posts are active
    • You switched to a default theme
    • Your page title still gets changed when you edit with Elementor

    Is the above true?

Yes it were only two plugins running Elementor and yours. It was easily repeatable. If you just watch the video you’ll see how to do it and repeat it. I have already logged this issue with Elementor.

Ok I am able to reproduce this. Will get back to you once I have examined the issue.

From what I can see this is a pretty rare issue coming from the fact that the Elementor live editor renders shortcodes in a very specific way. Here is a test version of the LCP plugin that has been slightly modified to be more “resistant” in this particular scenario. Please download it and test on your site to make sure it resolves the issue.
