I’ve upgraded two of my blogs to 1.5 now and I seem to be having the same trouble in both.

As long as my cookies are there my password works but when they expire I get the error Your session has expired and if I put my password in it still says Your session has expired. If I delete the cookies it just doesn’t accept the password.

I do not have the ability to send email through the blog so I can’t find out my password. On one of my sites I went and changed the password in phpmyadmin using the instructions on the forum here but it still won’t let me in.

Is anyone else having this trouble and does anyone have any ideas?

Yes, I can’t get in when I’m using firefox. Resetting the password does nothing. For some reason it lets me get in if I use internet explorer. This is a big problem; i hate i.e.

come on guys, this is a MAJOR bug/problem. I can post screen shots or even a video if necessary showing what’s wrong. I’m that frustrated.

    i’m experiencing a similar problem:

i’ve cleared my cookies etc, tried on both ie & ff but still can’t login.

i enter the correct details and it returns the login screen again with no details entered and it has the URi of:

    https://domain.name/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php

any help with this would be appreciated.

    thnx in advance.

i should also say that i have tried changing the password thru phpMyAdmin, and still no joy.

    this is VERY frustrating… ??

    no-one experiecing similar problems?

i’ve now also deleted the mysql db, created a new db with all new details and it’s still returning the wp-login.php?redirect_to…

i’m wondering if it being on a Win2k3 server has anything to do with it?

turns out there’s a bug in 1.5! see:

I had the same problem when using FireFox, and clearing out the existing cookies for my domain solved the problem.

You’ll find that under the Privacy tab, select Cookies and then look for View Cookies.

I just had the same problem in Firefox. Thankfully, the advice above about removing the wordpress cookies worked. I have just logged back in.
This problem definitely needs to be fixed. It is now August and I see that WordPress has known about this problem since posting began about it months ago!!!!!
