Last update didn’t resolve the issue, the problem seems to be on all shared hosts ??

We’re looking at this one too – I will update you as soon as I know anything further. If you notice anything specific that might help us in troubleshooting feel free to share here or open up a support ticket through the support module on your site (at the top of the BackUpWordPress admin page).

    Thanks!

In the meantime please check with your host and ensure that all your file permissions are reset – some hosts can do this for you, and in some cases you’ll have to do this yourself.

They should be set to 755 for folders and 644 for files.

As I said before, please keep in touch here or through the support module as we try to troubleshoot this one.

    Thanks,

Also – please ensure you are all updated to the newest version – 3.4.2

Awesome – that’s one out of a few of you!

Why did you marked the issue as resolved? The error “Your site root path isn’t readable” is still appearing on shared hosts.

This is not resolved? … as it shows up in my installations just now.

    This is not resolved!!!

This WAS resolved for most the users who submitted tickets via our support module, and as originally updated on this ticket, which is why it was marked as resolved.

In order to troubleshoot this further we’ll need more information though. If any of you could reach out through the support module at the top of the backup page we’d sure appreciate it – just send a quick message through the support module highlighting the error so we can tie them together and do further troubleshooting?

    Thanks,
    Kat

Ok, but for Robbieriviera who started this thread, and me, this problem is not resolved?.?

I have the same problem. “Your site root path isn’t readable” and no backup is created anymore. I’ve just came here to add information about this bug.

I have the latest WordPress (4.4.2), my website is not installed in subdomain, but in root, so the home directory is just “/”. Maybe it is something which is somehow responsible for this error…

Maybe I need to put somewhere in the code of plugin my site root path? I can do this.
