Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page

  • I keep getting the message “Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page” in Google Webmaster Tools using this plugin to generate the sitemap.

    I am not using a caching plugin

    This problem has been repeatedly posted on this forum and not resolved or answered by the developers.

    I have had to switch the function off and use another plugin to generate the sitemap which is a pain.
