Your thoughts?

  • Hey,
    I’m fairly new to templating/customizing WordPress … in fact I’ve only actually used the engine for a couple months, but just yesterday I decided to start integrating it into my site … let me know what you guys think. It’s not totally finished, but it’s come a long way.

    Hmm.. no comment forms, do you have to be logged in for that? .. and that Dick Cheney music playing is very annoying!
    Apart from that, looks cool, but not sure about the purple!

    The Dick Cheney thing automatically downloaded and I prefer visiting a site where stuff doesn’t automatically download.

    Okay, let me see if I have it right …
    – Switch Music to only come on on demand, no auto.
    – Comment Forms (Still getting the comment thing worked out, that part of WP is kinda confusing. lol)
    – Change the URLs ….
    I’m a little confused about the URLs thing. I’ve never messed with Permlinks before … anyone have any examples of a good URL set up for those? Also … Template lacking contrast … can you explain what you mean?

    I wouldn’t worry too much about Permlinks, as your web host will need to have mod_rewrite loaded. If you’re unsure of it and unsure how to use .htaccess, I would personally steer clear of it.
