Your Twitter application does not have read and write permissions

  • Hi Joe,

    I installed your plugin and get this error when I try to tweet:
    Last Tweet: (No post) ? 401 Unauthorized: Authentication credentials were missing or incorrect. Your Twitter application does not have read and write permissions. Go to your Twitter apps to modify these settings.

    I did set the read/write permissions for OAUTH 1.0a. Here are my settings:

    What am I doing wrong? Can you help?

    Have you double-checked your keys and tokens? It used to be possible that if you’d created your tokens prior to switching the OAuth permissions, those tokens would still convey the old permissions. I haven’t seen that problem for a long time, but if you created keys and tokens before changing permissions, that could be relevant.
