• Suddenly, all my blogs (self-hosted .com domains) have this message:

“Your WordPress.com account is not authorized to view the stats of this blog”

Stats have been working fine until suddenly today – no more stats.

This is for blogs where I have upgraded to 3.1 and for some I have not.

What can I do to fix this?

  • Me too – just noticed it now. Strange?

OK – Deinstalled WordPress.com Stats, deleted ad installed Jetpack – and connected it to my WordPress.com site. All is well.

Me three. “Your WordPress.com account, xxxx is not authorized to view the stats of this blog”

So I logged into my WordPress account and the API key is no longer available. “You can get your API key direct from Akismet now.”

So I checked Akismet and they want me to sign up and create a new key.

So I checked my Akismet plugin settings and…. it reports I have a valid key.

So… how do I get WP stats?????

    edit:
I can go here after logging in and it returns my API key:
    https://apikey.wordpress.com/

    same problem here…

    Likewise.

One of my latest posts was not being tracked in the dashboard but visible in the full stats screen. But now, I get Your WordPress.com account, is not authorized to view the stats of this blog.

I have no idea what JetPack is so it can’t be the cause.

Ditto. Valid key, can login, but can’t view my site stats. Going to try Carrrlos’ solution. The only link I can make is that all was working until I installed the Facebook Share (New) Plugin. (I also have the Facebook Like plugin).

same here. I guess it’s a wp problem.

Mine says: Your WordPress.com account, (name) is not authorized to view the stats of this blog.

I have no idea what JetPack is so it can’t be the cause.

As this is a newly launched package (that includes WordPress.com Stats), I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some teething problems over at wordpress.com. Please just try to sit tight and wait patiently for 24 hours.

Oh, I will esmi, I’m in fact off to sleep ??

Same here. Stats is saying that:

“Your WordPress.com account, [USER-NAME] is not authorized to view the stats of this blog.”

same here. looks like its a global problem. my guess (hope) is that it’ll be working again when i wake up in the morning.

I have a feeling that the new JetPack plugin is going to be the replace for it, since if you read about it, it says JetPack is supposed to make available to all self installations, the same things that are in wordpress if you had an account with wordpress.com (EG: XXXX.wordpress.com).

I’m thinking it’ll be that, but, not sure until wordpress tells us otherwise.

This is insane! Same problem here.

Deleted the plugin, added it back and it got worse. Now I’m getting all kinds of errors stating the API key is not valid and belongs “to somebody else”. WTF?

I’ve had my blog up and running for about a month now, and stats have worked flawlessly. Today they don’t.

    Suggestions?

    BTW: I don’t have JetPack.

It could also be the DDoS attack they had. Just sayin’.

Someone at WP needs to un-press the button and re-launch the Jetpack.

I’ve got about ten sites to do so sitting tight here especially judging by feedback on Jetpack including the API key issue.
