youtube bg slider video not displaying on homepage

I am unable to get my youtube bg slider to display any video, I can hear the video but I cannot see anything displayed in the window, has anyone encountered this? I looked in the edit plugin files but I cannot figure out what if anything I need to change to get it to show on my page, its driving me crazy.
I would be happy to use another slider plugin but I need one that will support youtube video. I have read the documentation which there isn’t much of not sure what I am doing wrong.
any suggestions are welcome..
