4 days ago I changed the titles of all my videos to show name after subject, was the name first. They all display correctly in the playlist, eg:

but on the page they are the old way. Contacted SiteGround and couldn’t find a cause, cleared cache and did other stuff. So I have waited just in case it was like propogating DNS’s or something. But, four days later, still has old info. Same deal for the Season 2 page – videos I added are yet to appear (should be 4, currently 2).

The shortcode stays the same for the revised playlists; I regenerated it anyway and updated the page, no difference; shortcode is
    [yotuwp type=”playlist” id=”PLGuYnywYdBG4j5fxlbMhTyADjAKo9pA73″ ]

I really hope I have just ‘missed something’ as I would hate to stop using this app and go back to manual listing Youtube links, but this delay in refreshing has gone on too long now, any ideas? Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Vince,

    Thank you for your report.
In YotuWP we have a cache feature which you can see on YotuWP > Cache tab
Please try to select disable it or remove file at folder /wp-content/yotuwp_cache

Hope that convenient for your plan.

    Best regards

Wow, of all the things I have learnt and can do I made a totally noob mistake of missing a really clear built-in feature, the cache tab! Sorry for my stupid question. Changed that from 1 week to 8 hours and everything updated just fine. Duh!

I had a different understanding of what the cache tab did to what it actually does, but that is no excuse for me not noticing it and trying varying the settings before asking the question. MY understanding was that it was only cached content if it stayed the same, if it changed on Youtube the first call would do a check for change then serve either the cached one or the YouTube one.

This now makes me wonder about if serving a cached one updates Youtube view count? I suspect it doesn’t, so will go turn cache off completely, as getting actual numbers on Youtube and Facebook is important for this start-up. Thank you again, for your quick feedback especially.
