    Hi there

My YouTube channel feed doesn’t work. All I get is a black box

If I view the web developers console in chrome I get warnings about “mixed content” Chrome is blocking the YouTube videos because they are asking to be served in an insecure frame via HTTP instead of HTTPS. The content must be served via HTTPS.

Any idea how to rectify this?

    Regards Paul

    Hi @washi,

Just wondering if, when your logged into your WordPress install, the Settings > General > WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) are set to https?

Something must be overriding the force HTTPS for the admin. Can you try temporarily disabling all other plugins and see if it works?

With your plugins (temporarily) disabled, if you find that the plugin is working, you will need to reactivate each plugin, one by one, to see which plugin is causing the issue.

If it’s still not working after you have (temporarily) disabled all other plugins, could you please send us your shortcode to test. [email protected]

    Thank you

    Hi, sorry for the delay!

Yes both settings have the URL set to HTTPS.

Disabled all other plugins and it’s still the same.

    My shortcode is:
    [fts_youtube channel_id=UC05AVRqxplmB8HIBMQDyQyg vid_count=6 vids_in_row=1]

    Hi @washi,

You shortcode is working fine in our tests, click here

I would suggest manually creating an “API Key” instead of using the “API token” that is created by the banner/button.

You can generate an API Key manually by clicking the API Key box and entering in your API Key. You can generate an API Key by clicking the ‘Button Not Working?’ link next to the white Access Token box or by clicking this link.

This takes a little work, but typically has more favorable results considering YouTube’s recent changes.

Let us know how it goes.
