YouTube coding fails using Visual editor

  • I don’t know if anyone has reported this matter but…using the Visual editor I inserted YouTube code into a post. It didn’t work. The text editor kept stripping out elements of the code that really screwed things up. I finally switched back to plain text editor, inserted the code, published the post–& that worked fine.

  • What you’re reporting is a ‘feature’ of the visual editor. It’s trying to figure out on its own what you’re attempting to put in there, and failing at it, which is perfectly fine when you know to expect it ??

    There’s a couple different plug ins that will assist in youtube embedding with wordpress. If you’re going to be using the two in conjunction your next stop might be google.
