• I have hundreds of blog subscribers.

I just posted this on the blog today – https://dothehotpants.com/2016/01/13/hotpants-quotes-2/

    It’s filled with youtube videos.

I just received the “New Post” email in my inbox, and the videos are missing in the email. There’s no links, no blank space, just totally gone.

The narrative of my post in the email looks weird when I’m saying “Here’s a video of David Bowie,” and nothing appears.

Please help! I can’t have hundreds of blog emails going out that don’t make sense to people!!!!!

What plugin are you using to provide the email subscription service?

I’m using jetpack for email subscriptions ??

    Ok, that’s a known issue.

In the past they were left out intentionally because many video embeds were Flash-only, which of course email apps don’t support. Now it’s more of an issue of email providers treating embedded iframes (which all video embeds are) as spam.

It’s actively discussed amongst the Jetpack developers, and for now I recommend just calling attention to the video in your post content so that subscribers know it should be there.
