YouTube Gallery Widget?

Hello all,

What I’d like to do is have some way of creating a sidebar widget that would display thumbnails of YouTube videos and then link to the YouTube page to watch that video. Somewhat like FlickrRSS but with the ability to manually choose which videos are included, rather than being based on an RSS feed.

So, I’m thinking maybe there’s a widget out there that will look at posts added to say a “YouTube” category and pull either an embedded YouTube video out of the post or perhaps just the link to the YouTube page out of the post and create the thumbnail with linking.

Any ideas on how this setup or something similar could be achieved would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
