    Hi,

I have a YT video as the header on my page. Before I installed this plugin, the video would show in it’s native resolution and fit in the header area nicely. After installing this plugin, the video is now made bigger to fill up the entire width of the page which causes the content to get cut off at the top and bottom. I didn’t set any options to change the video size so don’t know why it’s happening.

The only reason I installed the plugin was to make the Page Titles larger so I don’t know why it’s messing with the video.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Hello,

OK, so what’s happening here is that the video in the header in this theme is considered to be a “cover video” in that it should cover the viewport no matter what aspect ratio the viewport is.

In order to do this, the video is enlarged to fit one plane and then cropped to fit the other.

So yes, what you’re seeing is intentional but not practical for your website.

You’re the first to mention this and we will create an option to turn the cover styling of videos off on the next update.

Just to update this thread, there is now an option “Customizer – Header Options – No Full Cover Header Video” to allow you to disable this feature.
