YouTube Instructional Video Not The Same as App!

    Reviewing the YouTube instructional video on “Set up a registration page” as well as “How to configure your Facebook login part 1” shows an entirely different app than what I downloaded which is 2.0.2

    Your video shows instructions on the captured video about how to create short code pages for Registration and a Login page. The most current version of your app has nothing like that.

    Your video shows a place to enter the App Id and it shows a box above that for URL. Your current app does not have a URL box!

    So how is Ajax suppose to figure out where to put all this if it doesn’t even have a URL to reference?

    Hi Texoma,

    Yes, the videos have become outdated. However I’ve tried to keep the settings as minimal as possible. If you want to enable Facebook login all that is needed to:

    1. Check enable.
    2. Enter your Facebook App ID.

    Obtaining your Facebook App ID can be found by following Facebook’s instructions on creating an App. You can start here: https://developers.facebook.com/

    So the complete process for creating a registration page is:

    1. Add a new WordPress page named: Registration
    2. Add the shortcode [ajax_register]
    3. From the ZM ALR settings under Social: Check enable, Enter your Facebook App ID.
    4. Done.

    Lastly you’ll want to make sure you site is set so that anyone can register. This is handled via the WordPress admin setting found under: Settings –> General –> “Membership Membership Anyone can register”
