Youtube shorts not appearing when URL inserted

  • Hi, when I insert the link to a long Youtube video, your plugin works fine because the link is https://youtu.be/ [video code]. However, when I insert the link to a Youtube video that Youtube considers a short (they automatically assign it https://youtube.com/shorts/ [video code]), your plugin doesn’t show the video.

    I’m just hosting the short videos locally as a workaround for now but wanted to let you know that this was happening. Thanks.

    I am very sorry currently there is no way to use YouTube shorts, maybe in the future we will introduce this feature.

    I figured not yet. Just an FYI since you don’t have it in your documentation anywhere. Thanks for the reply.

    I could probably try the embed route–I got a video from a different source to show up that way–so most likely it’ll work for Youtube shorts as well.

    If you have embed code then you use it with our embed option.
