YouTube SimpleGallery Custom Thumbnail

I was wondering if there was a way to insert a custom thumbnail via code instead of the default YouTube thumbnail?

Also, with the jquery thick box can I edit that so that the outer frame is filled in with light gray kind of like the nextgen image gallery plugin does?
