YouTube Thumbnails not being found in meta field but YT url in text area works
-
I tested the video embed and it shows the thumbnail, but when I use it on the custom post type video, it says not found. This plugin used to work flawlessly until newer updates.
I am using the templatic theme Video 1.0.4 which is an older version before they decided to start making it a paid theme but this is a plugin issue as it was working fine for a while. I just in fact enabled the post type videos since it wasn’t enabled for some reason, though never had to set anything before. Only thing I manually done recently to the theme was update timthumb to the latest version, which broke displaying of thumbnails on the front page of my website for now (completely separate problem). That should have nothing to do with the plugin not finding thumbnail images.
I used the mass action scan posts and when it started, 3 new thumbnails were generated but then the rest started saying not found. So it is working somewhat, just not sure what it isn’t liking. The embed code is in a meta field called – Custom Video code.
And before posting this, I discovered that the 3 new thumbnails were generated because a YouTube link was placed in the description of each video. Would it be possible to read meta data too for embed code?
