youtube / vimeo background videos without button overlay

hey guys,
is there a way i can hide the video control overlays of vimeo or youtube videos? i′m using one as a background video in a slide, but the controls show up on mouseover.
also it would be nice to loop the video.
i′m very happy about any suggestions,
