  • I think there’s something else going on on your site. I have been running Wordfence and ZenCache together on the same site for months without difficulty.

    To be honest, though, I absolutely hate Wordfence and only had it there because it was required by those whose site it is. But I’ve turned it off now, thank goodness!

    Don’t know know of another plugin which would offer the same level of defense.

    What defenses precisely are you looking for? In almost every case, no WordPress plugin is going to offer you much security because (apart from a few simple things that you can do yourself) the only real security is achieved at the server level outside of WordPress.

    (Plugins that block spam are the major exception.)

    In other words, by far the best security is provided by having a good host that implements good security practices.
