It’s listed as a flexible width, but…despite my changing the banner width to fit my new banner .jpg, the rest of the page is still displaying at 1000 pixels wide.

I don’t know how to contact the author…any ideas why this might be?

And did you bother to look on quirm.net or blackwidows.co.uk as indicated by the theme info? Did you try using the contact forms on either site?

And the theme is flexible. In fact it works right down to 640px wide with no horizontal scrollbar.

the rest of the page is still displaying at 1000 pixels wide

Though you do seem to have successfully amended the #wrapper max-width to 775px. So what’s the problem?

Next time you have a problem with a theme, please try to make some effort to contact the author before complaining. Or at the very least, tag your topic with the theme’s name so that the author has an outside chance of finding it. We’re good but we ain’t psychic.

    1. I did attempt to contact the author. I followed the site instructions to register for the forums…nothing. I then sent an email as specified on the site…nothing.

    2. When I authored this last night, I did indeed put zenlite into the tags. I don’t know what happened to it if it’s not there anymore.

    3. WRT my modification to 775 pixels:

    a) I was unaware that this was considered the standard procedure for modifying this theme. My fault for assuming that flexible-width implied something else.

    b) I attempted to put a followup to this effect in this thread this AM, but…I was repeatedly told this thread was closed. Now, however, it seems to be OK.

    1. Ah – so that was you. That email was only sent a couple of hours ago. Not had a chance to sort it out yet but you should get an email shortly.

“Flexible” is a design term to indicate that a theme/design can adapt to multiple screen sizes/resolutions without causing horizontal scrollbars or pushing content off the viewport of the browser. No design can change it’s max width unless you add/amend those instructions somewhere. Usually in the CSS.

    Hi, Esmi –

The email I sent about 5 hours ago was my follow-up. I never heard anything from my original (online) registration attempt; perhaps something’s amiss on your end.

Thank you for the clarification on 3a. Sorry if I created more heat than light. I’ll close this out.
