• Hi there,
I am having an issue with the Zerif Lite Theme. Here is the web address.
    https://yourk9stateofmind.com

The BIG TITLE section of the site is not appearing at all on mobile devices or tablets. When the site was first launched, everything loaded and worked fine. Now, the big title screen shows up off and on, media queries don’t seem to work for smart phones or tablets, and I noticed that in IE9 the not looks different than it did when it was first launched along with the BIG TITLE section not launching.

  • Hey there,

Your site works just fine on my android device. Have you tried using a different device or browser? Thanks!

Sorry, can’t properly help, but when I tried it from here with desktop Chrome and then Safari on an iPad I noticed the following.

It doesn’t behave as stock Zerif. I got a plain blue background to begin with. When I scrolled down I got the Zerif big title and then can’t scroll back up to the blue part.

Do you have a plugin which may be causing this – just guessing, but maybe a lazy loader or something?

I am now using a static home page for the https://yourk9stateofmind.com site and I am now having an issue with the very first image that loads under the nav in the mobile Google app. I have tested it on my 5 different phones with the image fitting into the phones screen size, but for some reason, the guy who owns the site is having issues with the image on his phone’s Google app. Works fine on anything other browser but in the Google app on his phone, it stretches outside of the margins and it shouldn’t.

Suyogya Shukla: Thank you for taking the time to look at the site.

stuartb3502: Thank you for taking the time to look at the site and to let me know about the blue background. That is caused by a plugin on the site that is used to pop up for new users called Sumome.

Suggest you’ll need to get details of his phone Android version etc.

I tested my site against my older Android phone and everything worked and then got a problem when I tried it on a new Android 6 phone. That was because Google have implemented a standards change to css handling.

In my case it was to do with the scroll bar settings. Hidden now causes the page to be non-scrollable.

Not saying that’s what your issue is, but you may not be able to guess or get advice without getting the details or even having a similar phone for debugging.

You can also look up how to remote debug Android phones using Chrome. Once you have that working you’ll be able to inspect what’s happening in the phone’s browser as you would on your PC to find out why its handling the image as it is.
