  • Hi,

    1) how did you embed the share count on the blog list page, manually or automatically?

I assume that the shares are counted from the page /design-blog and not the blog list page here. I like to investigate more into this, so please send me a mail to info [at] mashshare.net

    2) The share count is inaccurate with a difference of 5 shares on your site because Mashshare is using a smart caching algorithms which prevents that the visible share count will ever be decreased. Due to technical reasons its possible that the current shares are lower than they were before. This sometimes happens especially on the g+ api because it does not show the same share count with every call. Sometimes it even shows only zero shares. so we had to decide that shares can only be accumulated but never deducted which could lead sometimes to slightly inaccurate numbers. You can fix this and get accurate numbers when you purge the mashshare cache via settings->debug

    Hi Janey,

i have found out the “wrong” share count.

Well, it is not really wrong because 129 is correct number.
Mashshare is also counting shares for buffer.

I was not aware that sharedcount.com does not calculate buffer shares, so the Mashshare count is greater, here.

    So everything is well:-)

    yes, those are great news!
and also, count on the specific post jumped from 28 to the right number of 129.

but i still have the problem of showing 0 zero count on the blog post list page.
    any help with that?

this plugin was in a collision with other parts of the code so we gave it up.
    i’m closing this topic.

    best regards.
