While I know there is a setting for ‘Zero sum orders’, which also requires it activated on the Svea account, I think I would recommend considering also adding a Svea Checkout bypass as default behaviour for such orders – for those who doesn’t need or want such orders to go through Svea Checkout.

Today if someone have t.ex. a gift card or coupon being bigger than the order total, they are met with no option to checkout if the store hasn’t gotten this ‘Zero sum order’ support activated on their Svea account (plus in plugin settings) – and most probably doesn’t know they would have to before a customer notifies them that they can’t checkout. ??

    Hi,

If the sum of the order is 0 and the setting “Zero sum orders” is disabled the customer will be taken to Woo’s regular checkout where no payment gateway is needed.

If this isn’t working in your store it could be because of your gift card plugin. As of now we’ve only tested this feature with Woo’s built in coupons.

    Okay,

In that case this should probably also be mentioned in the description for that choice. T.ex. by adding ?If not selected, Svea Checkout will be bypassed, and the regular checkout is displayed instead, allowing checkout without requiring any payment gateway.? – else it seems like this setting is required for handling such orders.

Anyhow there should probably be made some documentation for this plugin and it’s hidden features soon. As a minimum should the FAQ mention such things. ??

Also note that I found a hickup when testing Woo’s built in coupons.

I selected a product with cost 530 and pickup in cart, added the coupon with value 1000, so the sum was zero. Then moved on to checkout, got the default checkout, changed my mind and selected shipping. This caused the checkout to “freeze”, unable to load Svea Checkout:

    Hi,

Regarding the label we’ll consider updating the text to describe the feature more in detail or create a whole new documentation page.

Thank you for the feedback regarding the frozen checkout. We’re able to recreate the issue in our development environment and we’ll create a fix for this in an upcoming release.

    Best regards
