Zip file is corrupt – creation filed

  • I am using version 0.6.5 and whenever I try to do a backup, either manual or S3, I get the following error:

    Zip file is corrupt – creation filed

    FWIW, I am running on the MediaTemple Grid Service and had to follow the instructions at: https://wiki.mediatemple.net/w/(gs):Install_Zip_for_PHP_5 in order to get php-zip installed and running.

    I am not sure what is causing this error. Any ideas? Permissions issue maybe?

    P.S. Step 1 of the wizard has a typo on the link to signup for PressBackup Pro. It currently says “Singup for an account” when it should say “Signup for an account”

    I have a mediatemple grid account. I’ll try recreating this. but haven’t seen this before.

    Can you try upgrading to .6.5.1 ?

    Hi Brian,

    I forgot to add the .1 to my version in the original post. I downloaded and installed last night and have confirmed that I am, in fact, running 0.6.5.1.

    WordPress is telling me that I need to upgrade it to 3.1.2. (I am currently running WP 3.1.1). I was trying to install Pressbackup before I do this upgrade just in case corruption occurs. Do you think the fact that I am running on 3.1.1 could be part of the problem?

    Hi Mikey,
    I’m running 3.1.1 on my instance of PB fine. Try upgrading. It can’t hurt. Just remember backing up from an older version and restoring to a newer version of WP might cause issues.

    I still haven’t gotten around to installing phpzip on my gS account yet.

    If we manage to replicate I’ll let you know.
