.zip is not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous

  • I distribute blogger templates as .zip file format and also offered to download from my own VPS server. But last two days, my users cant download templates and they have error “.zip is not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous”. Im sure .zip files not have and antivirus or malware.     When I tried with changing file type .zip to .rar and its downloading without any error.

    But the .zip file is still cant downloading.

    After reading this thread https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/webmasters/kaJ0cSw91Ng im so tired with wordpress.

    Please any one help me with the problem.

  • I did a quick reading about this, and it seem’s to be an issue with Google Chrome and has nothing to do with WordPress at all.

    If .rar solves the problem, then why not switch all files to .rar? Is it a huge database?

    Yes! above 15k files in a database. also users need to has additional software to extract .rar files.

    have you any idea to solve the problem?
