• Hi, thanks for your great work on this plugin. It’s an excellent idea. I will be featuring it in the July 2019 iThemes Training Plugin Roundup.

Have you considered zipping the plugin files when they are moved to the uploads folder rather than just copying them directly?

My thought is that leaving php files in a publicly accessible directory that could become vulnerable is a problem (since the plugin cannot be updated via the standard WordPress system once it’s archived). If the file was zipped, this would alleviate that issue and also save some space.

Just a thought. But again, great work here!

    Hello,

thanks for your comment and question.

I wanted to zip first but depending on plugin size I was not sure if zip or unzip the plugin will time out. And moving only the files allow me to get the information of the plugin using WordPress native functions to list the plugins the same way.

But I can try to get the information before zipping them in the future version ??

    Regards,

    Xuan.
