FTPing files from Yahoo runs at about 1k/Bps. My blog (without mySql DB) contains about 4.8 MB. Yikes!!

Is there a way to zip my files stored at Yahoo! so I can FTP the zipped package instead of each individual file?

  • Unless yahoo has some option in their control panel then you’ll just have to start it one night then switch hosts the next morning.

Must be a better solution than that.

I thought some kind of program existed that allowed one to create a zipfile while online, then download that file…

I saw a reference to it on this forum last week but I’ll be doggone if I can’t find it now…

No other ideas? I’m sure I saw a reference to an application that would let one zip files that live at a host when using ftp to access that host…
