I’m displaying multiple markers. I understand why you would want the default zoom to be set automatically to include all of the markers, but I’d rather hoped that setting the zoom level explicitly in the shortcode (or even in the settings) would override this. Looks like I’m wrong!

I’ve checked with the example from the documentation with an added zoom:

    [osmap markers=”SH609543;Snowdon|SH656582!red;Glyder Fach|SH705546!green;Carnedd Moel Siabod” zoom=”?”]

and experimented with different values for zoom – but nothing changes.

Would it be possible to allow the override?

    Many thanks

    Jim

I agree, this isn’t handled consistently at the moment and it should be. The logic has become rather fragmented so I need to go through and sort out what happens for the various combinations of zoom, centre, single/multiple markers and GPX. I’ll take a look when I have a minute.

I’ve updated the code such that if you set an explicit centre and zoom, those will take precedence over the automatic bounds fitting. Note that you do need to specify both zoom and centre, not just zoom.
