In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Wrong Robots FileIt would be good to know what the default robots.txt is supposed to look like as well. I may have found a way to add it using another plugin. It wouldn’t have been good if there was a way to force the robots file in the TSF settings. I spent quite a bit time farting around with this.

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Wrong Robots FileI tried adding one to the root directory but got an error message stating, “The?robots.txt?file is static or overwritten in another way. Consider deleting the?robots.txt?file from your home directory folder because The SEO Framework handles this appropriately.”
I will leave it in the root directory until you confirm that I have the suitable dynamic robots file.

In reply to: [SEOPress - On-site SEO] SEOPress is Removing Title TagHi again, Benjamin,
Thanks for letting me know. The additional analysis is more to improve my writing for a website forum.
I’ll only use one SEO plugin to avoid issues. Thanks again for your help. If you let me know when the instructions are updated for Google’s API key that would be wonderful.

In reply to: [SEOPress - On-site SEO] SEOPress is Removing Title TagHi Benjamin,
Could you please reconfirm the hook you use and how we would need to change it to use it ourself to make sure the title tag is there if we use Yoast on top of SEOPress?
I’m superuser geek of wordpress while working to improve our website. I’m knee deep into SEO plugins, but I am in no way shape or form a developer or coder. I don’t really understand which hook I’m supposed to use.
We can use Yoast’s content analysis without creating a conflict with your SEOPress plugin because we do not click on the optimize button, and we deselect all the functions on their settings page except those affecting the content analysis.
Hence, we can in theory have these plugins running together without conflict. The only issue is that the Yoast block removes the title tag because it’s not included in your SEO content section. That’s the issue.
I find SEOPress has good on page analysis, as does Yoast. There’s some overlap and I agree Yoast does provide some things that are not really relevant, but there readability score is helpful. Also there inclusivity measure helps too.

In reply to: [SEOPress - On-site SEO] SEOPress is Removing Title TagHi Benjamin,
I tried the hooks and filters that you sent me without any luck.
I think the solution is to have SEOPress’ title tag <title></title> one line above where the meta description starts.
I can’t image robots care whether it’s one line above or two or three as long as it’s there.
But from my standpoint I can’t use SEOPress unless the title tag is one line above the meta description. This would be the same as how Yoast and Rank Math have it, and when I use one or the other with the other blocked it still shows the meta title. Which is what I need.
Could you please consider making this change in the next revision? PLEASE

In reply to: [SEOPress - On-site SEO] SEOPress is Removing Title TagThis is what I just sent to Astra’s support… (I think I need the filter or hook from SEOPress for this to work but am also trying my theme support to see if they can help. That’s how much I want this to work. That’s how much I would like to use SEOPress)

Hi Kapil, I was unable to add the title tag back using SEOPress. I had to switch to activate Rank Math so that now the title tag is there with the block on Yoast. Is there a filter or hook that I could use in the functions.php file to force the title tag to reappear if I go back to using SEOPress? To be clear: 1. I was using SEOPress and Yoast together but injected a filter so that it would remove the Yoast SEO output and allow me to use the content analysis from Yoast. The problem is that the block was removing the title tag from SEOPress because their title tag is two or three lines above the rest of their SEO content (where the meta description starts). 2. I need to have that block on Yoast's output but need the title tag from SEOPress or Asra. 3. It works by using Rank Math right now with Yoast's output blocked because Rank Math has their title tag one line above their SEO content (where the meta description starts). Can you please help me?

In reply to: [SEOPress - On-site SEO] Difficulty Downloading Google’s Indexing API KeyTo clarify further I have full admin rights to the account I created. I’m also the owner.
It doesn’t matter. Google wants me to take additional steps that are not included in SEOpress’ instructions. That’s the part I’m missing.

In reply to: [SEOPress - On-site SEO] Difficulty Downloading Google’s Indexing API KeyIt’s a new requirement all service account creation keys are disabled by default. Google changed the requirements to increase the security of the keys.
It might be good to have the documentation from SEOPress reflect these changes.
The steps from Google are a bit complicated.

In reply to: [SEOPress - On-site SEO] SEOPress is Removing Title TagHi Benjamn,
Thanks for replying with this information. My thought is the more the better when it comes to analysis. Within reason of course.
The goal was to have SEOPress as the main SEO plugin but add Yoast content analysis for additional review and possible changes.
I’m not sure which hook or filter to use from what you sent me.
I’m trying to get the title tag back that disappears when I add Yoast or Rank Math as an additional plugin and apply the block on their output. When I do that the title tag from SEOPress disappears.
Could you please specify which filer or hook will ensure that the title tag reappears. I think part of the issue is that SEOPress’ title tag is above the rest of the content when Rank Math and Yoast both have the title tag one line above the meta description.
SEOPress has it two or three lines above the meta description so that when the filter or block occurs it removes the title tag because it is in a higher position.
I’d really like to use SEOPress as the main SEO plugin.
If you could help me understand which filter or hook to specifically use that would be wonderful.
Thanks for your help, Benjamin.

In reply to: [SEOPress - On-site SEO] SEOPress is Removing Title TagHi there, again.
I deactivated SEOPress and activated Rank Math. I’m able to use Yoast content analysis while blocking their SEO output.
Please let me know if your title tag can be included with the rest of your SEO content. I can switch back to SEOPress and block Rank Math or Yoast when you’re able to do this. If it makes sense to you. I hope you’re able to do it. I really enjoyed using SEOPress!

In reply to: [SEOPress - On-site SEO] SEOPress is Removing Title TagThe other option is to have SEOPress consider including the title tag as part of the meta description content area. I suspect that the title tag is in the area above where the rest of the meta content is located and when I apply one of these filter blocks it removes the title tag as part of that process.
I’m just reaching for straws right now. I don’t really know for sure. I would appreciate some help.
